Rotary Club of Lake Conroe Goals for 2008-2009
MEMBERSHIP GOALS:
o Increase the Club membership to 61 by March, 2009.
o Help start a new Rotary Club in Montgomery County by March, 2009.
SERVICE GOALS:
o Memory Park
o Host Rotary Youth Exchange In-Bound Student
o Angel Flight
o Mexico Christmas Candy Roll Project
o Leap of Faith Equestrian Therapy at the YMCA
o Mike Ogg All Montgomery County Scholar-Athlete Banquet
o Annual Prayer Breakfast
o Multiple Schlerosis (MS) Walk
o Burn Your Buns Bicycle Ride
o Lone Star Honor Flight for WWII Veterans
o Literacy Volunteers of America Spelling Bee
o English as a Second Language (ESL) Program
o Books for the World Project
o Nicaraguan Water Well Project
o Host Career Days for Willis and Montgomery ISD
o Bridgewood Farms Thanksgiving Dinner
o Highway 105 Adopt-A-Highway
o Save Our Stuff Program to Support Women's Shelter
o Allen House (Montgomery) Renovations
o Momma Lou House (Montgomery) Maintenance
o New child mortality program in conjunction with RI President Goals
o New service project in Willis
o Support other District 5910 joint efforts
ROTARY FOUNDATION GOALS:
o Annual Program Fund contribution of $21,000.
o Participation of $1,000 in Polio Plus Matching Gift with the Gates Foundation gift of $100 million.
FOUNDATION FUND RAISING GOALS:
o Continue with the Los Compadres Golf Tournament and Gala and raise as much money as possible.
o Every Club Member a Sustaining Member.
o Continue to increase our participation in Paul Harris. 100% participation if possible.
o Obtain District simplified grant.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT GOALS:
o Send Club President-Elect and President Nominee to PETS.
o All Board members and at least ten members attend the District Conference, 'Rally in the Valley", in Bryan-College Station April 24 - 26, 2009.
o All Board members attend the District Assemblies in 2008 - 2009.
PUBLIC RELATIONS GOALS:
o Continue Courier newspaper column by Kris McBride.
o Continue weekly website updates.
CLUB ADMINISTRATION GOALS:
o Continue meaningful programs that educate us and help the members know each other better.
o Maintain communication with every Club member.
OTHER GOALS:
o Transition to the new Club Leadership Program.
o Annual Steak and Beans Dinner.
o Annual Christmas Dinner and White Elephant Gift Exchange.
o Have FUN!
