Mike is winning the pot today! 2nd, He is going to Washington DC with his grandson & will be using public transportation & Uber. If you have any hints or tips for their visit, let them know!
Club Announcements:

The club has adopted 3 children from Orphan Care solutions to supply with School Supplies & back to school needs. The list has been prepared, it will be sent out so that you can elect to donate some supplies.
Clothing for kids event is September 9th, we have confirmed with Kelly w/ MISD for the event. We will also be able to collect generic school supplies.
Our club has been selected to receive some returned district funds, with these extra funds, we have submitted a request for a project to provide shelter bags to the kids within shelters in Montgomery County.

Doris/Randall – We’ve been receiving messages from Leo, he is very excited & has been sending us some pictures.
Shannon – the visit we had last week would like to join soon but is going through Training with his new position & will miss a few weeks so once that is complete he will put in an application.
Mike w/ Polio – Summer is the biggest time for Polio to impact people. We have 8 cases so far this year. If you have any extra cash, please consider donating to Polio
Memory Park – We were working on a promotional video that would highlight Montgomery, Fernland Park & Memory park. We were able to get a $3,000 grant from MEDC and with $3,000 of the park fund we should be able to get working on this & hopefully have it ready for September.

Franco started with Kroger at age 16, and has been with Kroger 10 years. He has worked his way up from Courtesy Clerk to now an Assistant Manager.
Chris has been enjoying his work with Kroger. They also sent him to A&M to study Animal Sciences & further his education as well as working in the Austin area in this field. He will now be the Meat Manager & also handling the seafood.
Kroger will be opening August 4th @ 8am. For the first couple days they are open they will be offering a different free product each day for the first 200 customers each day.
They will have the Online Ordering option, your 1st 3 times using it are free, after that it is a $4.95 a year.
The ONLY day they are closed is Christmas Day.
Right now they have 302 employees. They are also still looking for employees. The store at 105 & 336 will be closed August 3rd and this one in Montgomery opens August 4th.
They will also carry some MISD apparel & memorabilia at the store as well.
