Gary Milleson-Foundation-Let’s get donations in for EREY! We will be having a 2nd special meeting on September 15thin Memory Park. We will be awarding four Paul Harris fellows that have been so helpful in the building and construction in Memory Park!
Kris McBride-Memory Park-Will be picking out new Memory Park shirts soon. Thank you to Mike Berger and everyone that helped at the Chamber Event!
GOOD NEWS
Roz announced a couple of weeks ago she and her husband enjoyed the Walden wine dinner that they won at the Rotary fundraiser donated by Chef Rick! They had the most unbelieve meal by far in the top ten fabulous! They did a great job and if you ever get the change to bid on the win dinner do it! Everyone needs to come by and enjoy a great meal and put the comments on the websites that rate restaurants! Walden is a great place come out and enjoy!
Pam announced $8 for surviving eight years with her husband living in the middle of God knows where and construction of their home!
Mark announced a challenge to everyone to make their donation to EREY! He did it today! Also his guest April Jackson is interested in joining our Club!
Doris announced I’m back and thank you for your prayers! She has had two good days a nice and having a nice start to today!
Charlie announced he had a visitor from Australia visiting him. He met him on a trip to Australia visiting some other folks they hit it off and he jokingly told him if they ever visit the come see us and they did!
Bill announced information was in the newspaper in regards to Entergy substation project that he mentioned a few weeks back. The project will potentially route along the 1097 bridge with 130ft concrete poles. Entergy still has not determined the route, and he is still working on getting someone to come speak to the Club on this matter!
Mike announced $1 because he got rid of the cat! The cat was playing with his foot and when he looked down it looked like a crime scene. The cat had apparently punctured a vain in his leg. Also if you noticed he is wearing a Rotary shirt from the Southern California Club. Also he is taking his grandson on a summer trip to visit Google. They will be staying two nights in three rated hotel that cost $698/night not including parking of an additional $35.00 sure makes you appreciate the prices in Texas!
SPEAKERS
Deanna and Kris, our Public Image Team, spoke to us about our club's network of Public Relations tools - Our website, our newsletter, the weekly Rotary Column in The Courier, and social media outreach via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Craig and Pixie Jones were thanked for their continual support in their monthly paper, The Splash. Deanna spoke about Rotary International's push for clubs to rebrand and modernize their graphics and logos. Club Runner's App, available in The App Store and on Club Runner's company website, are easy to add to our smart phones for instant access to our website.
